Reservation and Cancellation Terms and Conditions
- All reservations must be submitted through our online website at www.costaricatransferandtours.com and must be paid at the time of booking.
- Reservations for transportation to the airport are valid only for the time and date specified. Reservations for transportation from the airport are valid only for the date specified.
- Costa Rica Transfer and Tours is not responsible for unused reservation or costs incurred as a result of customer error.
- When changing the pick up or drop off location of a reservation, rates are subject to change and extra charges may apply.
- Early reservations. Costa Rica Transfers and Tours requires a 3 hour in advance booking slot to allow us to get you.
- Costa Rica Transfers and Torus will arrive 15 minutes before at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to be ready and waiting to leave outside of the pickup location. Failure to do so will jeopardise or inhibit our ability to provide you a service and may result in cancelled trip.
- Our drivers are not required to call your phone number in advance of the pickup, but. failure to provide a contact number for the day of travel may prevent our ability to provide service and result in cancelled or rescheduled services.
- Reservation abandonment occurs when our driver cannot find the customer at the designated pick-up location or cannot reach the customers telephone number provided within a short, reasonable time.
- All cancellation requests must be emailed to info@costaricatransferandtours.com at least 48 hours before your service. Pets are not allowed on buses (except for guide dogs accompanied by their owners).
- Costa Rica Transfers and Tours is not responsible for any loss or damage of your hand luggage or suitcases and should be supervised by the passenger at all times.
- No shows are considered as cancellations and are non-refundable.
- If you fail to contact Costa Rica Transfers and Tours with flight cancellation or delay information in a timely manner this reservation will be considered as abandonment or no show.
- Costa Rica Transfer and Tours is not responsible for delays caused by accidents, civil disturbances, emergency medical situations, mechanical malfunction, damage to the highway or extreme weather.
- Reservations at short notice made less than 12 hours. We are unable to guarantee service availability or timely service for short notice reservations. Availability will depend on a variety of conditions, including pickup location, drop-off location, and current vehicle availability.
- Our driver will wait only 10 minutes in the assigned place as it a shared service area with time slots. If you do not show up at this allocated place after the time has elapsed we will charge you 100%.
- Customers can cancel your reservation at any time. Cancellations can be made by emailing info@costaricatransferandtours.com.
- Costa Rica Transfers and Tours will not provide a refund if your reservations is cancelled or changed 48hours before your trip.
- Flight Cancellations and Delays Due to Airlines: Failure to contact Costa Rica Transfers and Tours with flight cancellation or delay information twelve hours before a scheduled pickup is considered reservation abandonment and may result in forfeiture of fare.
- Reservations affected by airline delays and cancellations will not qualify for refund. Once a new reservation is made we are happy to provide you any paperwork to claim form your travel insurance.
- Luggage and Personal Items: Customer must specify the exact amount of luggage he or she intends to bring onto the vehicle during reservation. Failure to specify in advance may result in extra fees or the need for an extra vehicle. Customers traveling with valuables, priceless items, and prescription drugs should keep these items in their possession during the course of the trip.
- 1 checked luggage piece, such as a medium/large suitcase or large duffel bag weighing 50 pounds or less each
- 1 carry-on item, such as purses, laptop cases, briefcases, small suitcases, and backpacks
- Large items such as surfboards must be notified at the time of booking. Additional fees may apply.
- Damaged Items: Normal wear and tear to personal items is typical of the handling of suitcases and bags during transportation. Transporting luggage, may result in scratches, dings, and nicks. Costa Rica Transfers and Tours are not responsible for damages such as broken pull handles/straps, broken wheels or feet, or damages that incurred as a result of moving your luggage. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure any belongings kept with customer in the main seating area of the vehicle are securely packed and fastened, and that any breakable items are adequately protected while using the service.
- Passengers are responsible for their own luggage and any items placed by customer or Costa Rica Transfers and Tours representatives in the vehicle. Costa Rica Transfers and Tours takes no liability in the event of damage, loss or theft of any such property and will not be responsible for losses incurred, including but not limited to, consequential damages, loss of future profit, potential income, and more expenses or losses incurred as a result of lost or stolen baggage or personal property. Costa Rica Transfers and Tours operators are not liable for lost items left behind in the vehicle by a customer. However, Costa Rica Transfers and Tours strives to help customers reunite any lost items whenever possible. If an item lost, Costa Rica Transfers and Tours recommends customer immediately contact +506 8714 4884. Returning items left behind may incur delivery and/or shipping charges to the Customer.
- Safety: Seatbelts provided for customer safety. Costa Rica Transfers and Tours requires all customers to wear safety belts while inside the vehicle. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the seat belt is securely fastened, as required by law. Our operators reserve the right to refuse service who refuse to comply with applicable laws.
- No Smoking in any of our vehicles. Smoking in our vehicles will result in a $250 fee. Company may impose additional charges for cleaning & damage to company vehicles including, but not limited to, for excessive littering by customers. The charges may range from $250 to $400 or more, depending on the cost of cleaning or repair. Please help us avoid these charges by keeping the vehicle clean and well-maintained
- Smoking in a vehicle is prohibited. The penalty cost could be more than $500
- Safety Camera: Some of our vehicles are fitted with safety cameras for customer safety. Customers are hereby notified you will be recorded.
- Costa Rica Transfers and Tours vehicles seat between 3-16 passengers depending on the vehicle profile. Oversized or excess luggage may require a larger vehicle at an extra cost. Seat capacity limited to seats with working safety belts. State laws prohibit loading vehicles beyond seating capacity. Any attempt to do so may need extra vehicle reservations.
- Costa Rica Transfers and Tours can cancel or amend any service for reasons beyond our control such as strikes, weather conditions, public demonstrations or natural disasters. In either case we will do our best to make the customer reach your destination if possible, but no refunds will be given in such circumstances.
- Transportation between the hours between 10.30p.m. to 4.30am will incur an additional flat fee of $45.00 USD + 13% tax
- I have read the above agreement and its terms and conditions, and I accept them in their entirety.
- I agree to pay the total amount for the Requested Services. I agree to pay in accordance with the Cancellation Terms set forth above. I understand that in the event of a cancellation or service modification, I am responsible for all applicable fees and penalties charged
- You agree to pay 13% sales tax for all online payments will added to your total bill.
- You agree to pay 5.4% online payment transfer fee for all online payments and will added to total bill.
